Friday, 7pm. The phone rings in the kitchen.
Nobody answers the phone mid-service — and the guest who wanted a table for six just books next door. Freya answers in under a second, books the table in your calendar and answers what guests actually call about: opening hours, the menu and parties.
The numbers
- < 1 sec — response time — the guest never gets to call the restaurant across the street
- 24/7 — Saturday's table gets booked Tuesday at 10pm — she answers when guests plan
- 500 — calls per month included in the Receptionist plan — changes and cancellations too
A missed call on Friday afternoon is often a table for four — and full tables are the whole business. Count your own missed calls and do the maths on a month.
Why it pays for itself
The table is booked while the guest is on the line
Party size, time, name and number — she books into your calendar during the call and confirms immediately. No voicemail, no lost tables.
Answers what guests call about
Opening hours, the menu, whether there's space tonight — she's read your website and answers like someone who works in the restaurant.
Parties land with you
The Christmas lunch and the confirmation party are the most expensive calls to miss. She takes the enquiry with every detail — or transfers straight through if you want to take them yourself.
Questions we get
Does she book tables directly?
Yes — in the calendar you connect. If you use a table-booking system without an open integration, she books via calendar sync or takes the booking as a message — your system stays the master.
What about changes and cancellations?
"Can we be two more?" and "we have to cancel" are handled immediately and the calendar updated — so you don't set a table that isn't coming.
Can she handle party enquiries?
She takes every detail — date, size, occasion, budget — and sends it to you in one piece, or transfers immediately. You set the rule.
